Supermarket Flowers ( Aldi / Lilies / € 2.49 )
During the pandemic I have watched how the short life of cheap domestic flowers have secondary lives. One in their shadows cast and another in the shapes made of fallen petals, a natural metronome. Petal stacks gather these.

Alfred de Mudders' text accompanies glass plates developed by the Lumier Brothers 1893. Found in a Parisian antique shop and very kindly gifted to me by Irish fashion designer Helen Cody. The plates seem to invite me to invent potential imagined lives and alternative understandings to what never was.
